Long Time No See

Boy I haven't written in a very long time.
I was so incredibly busy, and had literally no time. I started working in a new place. I enjoy my new work very much. My job is to create promotional material for medical sales representative worldwide. Science all around. and as you know, I am the mad scientist.

First, I would like to share with you that we got a new floor for the hall and for the kitchen. Thank you for all of you that helped us with this.
Here is my man all happy with his new floor, already cooking :

And here's yours truly happy with my new floor, extremely tired:

And from a different angle :

How about that? it is so nice , makes such a difference :)

Have I mentioned how different the weather can be in Holland?
In the beginning of last month, I couldn't move my face, it was brrrr so coldddd
Here is me on my way home from work. Half frozen, notice the sad puppy look on my face...

And this is what happened a couple of days later. Notice the picture from the bus, how amazing is that?

You remember the previous post about the snow?
well, here is my neighborhood, this time in the spring, so nice:

To celebrate the occasion (yes, son is an occasion in Holland), me and my man took a walk in the city ; here is us with some kind of smelting statue

Amazing what you can see in an ordinary day in Rotterdam, it's a one man band. He can play the guitar, the drums, the harmonica. He sings along and has lights on his hand. He come with his own lighting built in. How inspiring, who needs payed music players these days ha?

I got a new trench-coat for the spring, which I wore for 2 times. First time I thought, oh no, it's still cold for this, the second, I thought, why don't I listen to myself in the first time?

I know that's what my man thinks as well :)
All happy going out to eat sushi with friends

Things which are in the dutch newspaper:

- Pipi toiletpaper. Seriously. who does your marketing ?

- Such breaking news, there are cubs of bears in the zoo...on the front page of the newspaper.
the dutch man call it cucumber news, since they really don't have anything to write about ... and I come from the middle east...

My man made me an amazing Cocunt milk curry. don't have recipe, I have to ask him... was so good.

And I made some home made ravioli with mushrooms. And yes I have the recipe.

Home Made Ravioli with Mushrooms:
 yum.

all you need for this is:
Half a cup flour.
1 egg
8 mushrooms
1 small onion
1 table spoon olive oil
Thyme
Provincial herbs (Rosemary and anything else you can think of)

Preparation
1) Mix together the egg with the flour until it forms a smooth elastic dough.
2)  Roll with a roller to create a thin long piece of dough and use a circle form to create the circles.
3) Fry the onions and mushrooms in the olive oil till golden brown, and add the Thyme and the provincial herbs.
4) take a small portion and place in the middle of the circle.
5) Fold the circle in half and seal using your fork to create the edges.
6) Boil some water in a pan.
7) Drop the ravioli's in the boiling water and wait until they float in the water. Then they are ready.

Bon apatito.

It was Easter and we were invited to our friends Lisa and Hans for easter, they made such a nice Easter brunch, I have added some photos of it.

This weekend I decided that my hair is very long and painful on my head, so I decided to cut it. Here it is in the happening:

The hairdresser thought I needed curls (do I?) here is the result

And no,  this is not a dog, it's my hair or what's left of it, on the floor.

My man cut his hair too, he is so handsome:

Enjoying our new haircuts in the sun :)

Here it is, how it really looks, with no curls, I like it this way

Have a nice week all :)
Signing off, the mad scientist, with the new haircut.

  1. I'm very happy to hear you two are doing so well. I'm a bit slow reading your blog - two weeks! I like your new floor; interesting. I've not seen one like that before. Best wishes to my favorite couple.
